Indications for use
- Prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiency.
- Administration of calcium and vitamin D as an additional therapy in the treatment of osteoporosis in patients at risk of calcium and vitamin D deficiency.
How to use and dosage
Calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency:
- Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 tablet 1 to 2 times daily.
Complementary therapy for osteoporosis:
- Adults: one tablet 2 to 3 times daily.
Renal insufficiency (see contraindication)
Calcium D3 Nika should not be taken by patients with severe renal insufficiency.
The tablet can be chewed and chewed preferably taken with meals.
Special patient groups
Patients with impaired liver function
No dose adjustment is required.
Patients with impaired renal function
Calcium D3 Nika should not be used in severe renal failure.
Elderly patients
The dose is the same as for adults. A possible decrease in creatinine clearance should be taken into account.
Duration of treatment
When used for the prevention and treatment of calcium and/or vitamin D3 deficiency, the average duration of treatment course is at least 4-6 weeks. The number of repeated courses during the year is determined individually.
When used to supplement specific therapy and prevention of osteoporosis and its complications (bone fractures), the duration of treatment is determined by a doctor individually.
