Indications
To reduce swelling of the mucous membrane of the nose, nasopharynx and maxillary sinuses in:- colds (acute rhinitis);
- inflammation of the sinuses (acute sinusitis);
- eustachyitis;
- allergic rhinitis (including hay fever);
- otitis media (as a means of adjuvant therapy, because it reduces swelling of the mucosa around the opening of the eustachian tube).
Used also to facilitate examination or surgical manipulation in the nasal cavity.
How to use and dosage
Use intranasally.
Rhinoksyl® Baby Nasal Drops 0.01% are for use in the nose of children under 1 year of age.
Children up to 4 weeks of life are prescribed 1 drop of Rinoxil® Baby into each nasal passage 2 times a day.
From the 5th week of life and up to 1 year of age, 1-2 drops are administered in each nasal passage 2 times a day.
The drug should not be used more than 2 times a day.
Before use, the bottle should be inverted. The drug should be injected with the child's head tilted back.
Immediately before applying the drug vial should be held in the palm of your hand to warm it up to body temperature. Before introducing the drug, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the nose.
The following procedure is also proven to be effective: depending on the age, 1-2 drops of Rinoxil® Baby are applied to absorbent cotton and wiped into each nostril.
The drug may be used in the recommended dose for no more than 3-5 days without medical advice. If symptoms worsen or improvement does not occur within 3 days, it is necessary to consult a doctor. The drug can be used again only after several days.
The drug in doses higher than recommended can be used only under the supervision of a doctor.
