The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is investing up to $20 million to support the expansion of pharmaceutical production at NIKA PHARM, part of ASKLEPIY Group. The project is aimed at strengthening the company’s position in the domestic market while expanding its export potential. It also includes the expansion and modernization of production facilities in line with international GMP standards, as well as an increase in production capacity of more than 140%. This will help reduce dependence on pharmaceutical imports at the national level. It is worth noting that in December 2021, the EBRD provided NIKA PHARM with its first $5 million loan. Over the following four years, the company established local production of a number of medicines and became a leader in several segments of the pharmaceutical market, with brands such as Rinoksil, Rinomaks, and Forsil.
